Context Switching
I am experimenting with a new way of working.
I run 6 Claude Code instances at the same time in 6 different KDE “Virtual Desktops”.
I have a Pomodoro timer with the following durations:
- 5 minutes: fully focus on the current workspace
- 1 minute: do what I want including checking my phone or working on any workspace I want
At the end of each pomo, I have to switch to the next workspace.
The goal of the 1 minute “break” is to have time to go and quickly unblock other agents in an unordered way.
The key advantage is that it allows me to work on stuff that I usually find boring without burning out, one bite at a time.
I am not sure if I am more productive, but I feel more engaged and I have more to show for at the end of the day.
